Comprehensive website created by the National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health in Washington, D.C. Type your topic in the search box. Links will come up for your topic, as well as several closely related topics. Videos are included. This web page has a medical encyclopedia to explain unfamiliar words or topics. Most of the results are from the National Library of Medicine.

An excellent source for accurate health information. "Data and Statistics" may be found under the "Diseases and Conditions" bar. Click on the upper right for topics from A to Z or use the search box.

Aimed at teens, it covers all kinds of health related topics. It is filled with practical information, fun and easy to use.

Best place for drug related topics, including alcohol. Start by clicking "Drugs of Abuse" in the blue bar.

BOOKS TO BORROW:

Books on specific health topics can be identified by typing the subject or keyword into the Destiny catalog which is under the flag.  Most of the health books to borrow are on the shelves in back, under or opposite the windows. They are filed, in order, by the call number of each book. Most will be in the numbers between 611 and 619. A few more may be found between 362-363.
