Introduction to Photography

Photography this year will consist of both Film and Digital Photography. Throughout the year students will be building a portfolio of Color and Black and White prints. While learning the chemical processes in the darkroom and how to utilize Photoshop students will also be learning about different photographers and styles of photography. This year students will be taking photographs, developing film, printing both digitally and chemically, analyzing photographs, participating in critiques, and, displaying your artwork throughout the halls of BCS and at the Annual Art Show.

Continuing Project:

Snap Shot - Students critique photographs from a variety of photographers. They analyze the work by describing The Element and Principles, Framing, and overall purpose of the photographs.
