Middle School Art Curriculum
Grades 6, 7, and 8
In Middle School, Art students will be exposed to many different creative techniques and media while learning about The Elements and Principles of Design (E’s & P’s.) Students will explore Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Photography and Sculpture. Through creating, researching, writing, and reflecting on art, students will obtain a well rounded art experience including the three main sub-areas of Art Education: Art making, Art History and Art Criticism. All Art lessons are also designed to meet New York State Standards for Art Education.
