Welcome Parents and Students!

The Art Department has very exciting activities and opportunities planned for the 2011/12 school year! Art Club has already begun  and will continue through May ! For more information check out the Art Club page! Field Trips are planned for our upper level art courses this year. The field trips will revolve around  Opportunities and Careers in the Arts! (Stay tuned for dates and details!) Our Annual Art Show displaying our talented students here at Berlin will be scheduled for some time in May. We look forward to sharing student artwork and spending time with the community!

Art Department's Philosophy of Education

We believe the most common misconception students have about taking art classes is that you have to already be talented in the arts in order to take them. This is simply not true! My philosophy is that...EFFORT, PARTICIPATION, ATTENDANCE and a GOOD ATTITUDE are more important than being a skilled artist at this age. That’s what I'm here for! To teach your children the skills and techniques they need to express themselves creatively within their individual abilities. We develop projects that can cater to the more advanced students, as well as the children that need more guidance and practice.
