WA – Triangul8 Developer Internship

Summer Internship

Program Location: Redmond/Kirkland, WA

Eligibility Requirements: We are looking for talented high school students who love coding as much as they love playing games. If you’ve already started to code your own games just because it’s fun, you are the kind of person we want! Other qualifications include:
– At least one semester of computer programming (any language)
– Able to demonstrate fundamental programming skills (you will be asked to complete a homework assignment as part of the application process)
– Must be at least 16 years old
– Available to work in the evenings 6:00pm – 10:00pm on Friday and Saturdays (plus Monday in the Summer months)
– Have reliable transportation to the Redmond/Kirkland area
– Your own laptop computer capable of running Unity.

NY – NY – Gakko Code Forward Program

Summer Academic Program

Program Location: Manhattan at 243 Canal Street, NYC

Program Date(s): Spring Programs: April 10 – June 23 // Summer Programs: July – August

Application Deadline: Rolling Admissions

Age/Grades: Current high school students grades 9–12

Cost: Regular tuiton is $1980, but scholarships are available

 

Eligibility Requirements: 10 weeks— Build an App or Record an Album. Gakko NYC gives high schoolers the opportunity to study technology or music with industry-experts committed to creating personalized learning experiences. Every student leaves the program with a completed, portfolio-worthy app or an album.

WA – University of Washington Dawg Bytes CS Summer Camps

Summer Academic Program

Program Location: University of WA campus

Cost: $220, including a non-refundable $40 deposit. Scholarships available.

 

Eligibility Requirements: Summer camps introduce middle and high school students to computer science & engineering topics in a fun, inclusive week of learning.

Camps run from 9am until 4pm from Monday – Friday. Lunch and snacks are provided at no extra cost to the student. All camps take place in the Paul G. Allen Center for Computer Science & Engineering on the Seattle Campus of the University of Washington. Scholarships are available – students who qualify will be notified in their acceptance to the camp.

Eligibility Requirements: This $2,500 scholarship is a way for Redfin to help one student on his or her journey through higher education. We’ve received applications from across the country including San Diego, Las Vegas, Chicago and Miami!

National – NASA Internships

Eligibility Requirements: NASA internships are available to high school through graduate level students attending full-time accredited programs appropriate to the NASA internship opportunity for which they receive an offer. U.S. citizenship is required for most internship opportunities. Select opportunities are also open to citizens from countries participating in the NASA International Internship (I^2) Program. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a degree-granting course of study appropriate to NASA’s long-term professional workforce needs. College-level interns must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent. While NASA Internships are available to students in a wide-variety of majors ranging from business to science and engineering, individual internship opportunities will target specific disciplines. Applicants have the opportunity to browse and selectively apply for specific internship opportunities once their application is complete.
