Welcome Parents and Students,

Sra. Terán-Soto's Interactive Spanish teaching method--- When you start learning a language, what is your goal?  The obvious answer is: I WANT TO "COMMUNICATE",  I want to speak, I want to understand what I hear, I want to be able to have a conversation, make requests or orders, give answers, etc.  How do you learn español?  I assure you that the word "boring" will disappear from your vocabulary.  My goal is to teach you Spanish through real communicative situations.  I have prepared many "in class conversational activities" and there will be many real life role playing situations where you will practice what you have learned.  You'll learn grammar within the context of the lesson and lots of role playing, therefore, grammar lessons will never be boring.  ¡TE LO ASEGURO! (for sure!).  ERRORS are a natural part of learning a language.  TALK, TALK, TALK and express yourselves with confidence.  I understand very well that you will be trying your best to use the language creatively and spontaneously and therefore you are bound to make errors.  It's alright to make mistakes.  I have fun teaching it and you will have fun learning it!

When you practice anything that you want to get really good at, such as playing the piano, becoming a better pitcher, etc. practice, practice, practice will come in handy.  My point is, if you don't practice your Spanish "each" day you will struggle and you will forget what you've learned for the day.  It is important that you review the vocabulary, the grammar, and lessons each day.  You must also come for extra help so I can help you with simple strategies you can use in school and at home to improve your Spanish as well.

Here's one of my favorite quotes...

DEVELOP YOUR STRENGTHS MANAGE YOUR WEAKNESSES!

¡Muchas gracias!
