March Snowflakes

March Snowflakes

by, Emily Rhoads Johnson

Snowflakes in March

Slide down the skies,

All slooshy and soft,

Like wet butterflies.

They tickle dogs’ noses,

Making them sneeze;

They cling like coconut

Frosting on trees.

They’re sticky and slippy,

Just right for packing,

So hurry outdoors,

Start rolling and stacking!

But don’t be surprised

If today’s fluffy snow

Turns to raindrops tomorrow-

It’s MARCH, you know!
