PD Workshops
3rd Learning Corporation designs and delivers high-quality, meaningful, and ongoing professional development for educators, in order to ensure the continuous improvement of their abilities to incorporate technology into their daily professional lives. The ultimate end result is to impact positively student performance, by way of improved efficiency, productivity, and enhanced instructional delivery models.
To help schools accomplish this, 3rd Learning has developed a series of professional development programs, the Classroom Integration Series, to provide hands-on, project-based training to enhance staff productivity and student learning through technology integration. Educators will acquire and update knowledge and skills that effectively link technology with applications appropriate to instruction, support, and management.
Currently, 13 courses are available to districts. These full-day, hands-on programs cover a variety of technology integration topics such as “Incorporating Web-Based Resources into the Curriculum” and “The Design and Implementation of WebQuests.” All workshops are aligned with the New York State Learning Standards as well as the International Society for Technology in Education’s National Educational Technology Standards (ISTE NETS). The objectives of individual courses can be tailored to meet the professional development needs of a district.
