PS/IS 48 School Wide Uniform Policy

Our School Uniform Policy

will remain in effect & unchanged for the 2016-2017 school year. 

This policy will be implemented for grades PreK – 8.

All students are required to wear the school attire Monday-Thursday;

Friday’s will be "Dress Down" or "School Spirit Days". 

Students may wear gym uniforms or sweat pants

on days their class is scheduled for Physical Education.


The School Uniform will consist of:

 a white, light blue or dark blue shirt

with dark blue or beige/khaki bottoms (pants/skirts/shorts/skorts/jumper). 

Options may include:

 a blue, beige or white sweater/vest/tie (please label all items).

There is no specified attire for shoes.

Parents may select any brand/style of clothing they prefer.

All students are expected to comply with this school-wide policy.

Thank you for your cooperation.


PS/IS 48 Gym Uniform

The students must wear sneakers and the sweats for Physical Education. 

The recommeded attire is the PS/IS 48 Gym Uniform.

8:00 a.m. - 2:20 p.m.
Monday - Friday
Free Breakfast Program Begins at 7:30 a.m.
After School Program
from 2:20 - 6:00

NYCID has switched their online account management system to include a parent portal where you can log in to manage your account, enroll in clubs, pay your bill, update information, and more!

There will no longer be paper registration for any After-School programs (medicals are still mandated and need to be updated every year) You must now use the following link to register for After-Care: Go to: https://app.jackrabbitclass.com/reg.asp?id=516761 and fill out all the information on the registration form.
